What to Bring to the Event
A FEW WAYS YOU CAN GREEN YOUR PLANETHUGGER EXPERIENCE:
Before the Event…
Gather up your old boat sails and bring them to PlanetHugger Boston!
Are retired sails taking up space in your garage or basement? Instead of sending them to a landfill, bring them to the Expo! Drop them off at the Sea Fever Gear Booth. For every sail collected, Sea Fever Gear will make a donation to the non-profit Cousteau Society. Sea Fever Gear recycles sails into custom bags, flip flops, apparel, accessories and other products, which are available online and at their retail store at 22 Barn Hill Rd., Shop Ahoy Plaza, W. Chatham, MA.
Products range from tote bags and wine carriers to spinnaker jackets and baby bibs, and every piece is custom. Founded by seafaring sisters Penny and Pixie Haughwout in 1996, Sea Fever Gear has stayed true to its mission of keeping sails out of landfills, handcrafting all of its products in the USA, and only using recycled sails in their products. For more information, visit www.seafevergear.com or find them on Facebook.
